In 2023 our neighbouring CSA farm Upper Ballaird had a surplus of cucumbers and asked if we could do anything with them instead of them going to waste. We quickly put our thinking caps on and using Kat’s pickling and preserving knowledge and Lucy's recipe development created a banging range of 3 different amusingly named and devilishly tasty pickle varieties. We made approximately 200 jars of pickles which amazingly sold out within a couple of weeks.

This year we decided to commission Upper Ballaird to grow a whole field of cucumbers for us to make these three banging pickle varieties. We expect them to be in production from mid July and available to ship from August. They will have limited availability and once they are gone they will be gone until next year. Pre-sale will be available from July and we recommend to order these early to avoid disappointment.
